flag production
fabric quality
For our products we only use flag fabrics made of branded polyester from a German market leader; most flag suppliers in Europe use fabrics of this origin.
Since flags are exposed to constant environmental and weather-related stress, such as UV radiation, sometimes extreme wind loads, acid rain, sometimes extreme temperature differences, air pollution and much more, their lifespan is of course limited.
life
The lifespan of polygloss quality flags with permanent flagging is on average around 6-10 months, but this depends heavily on the regional conditions and the intensity of the influences described above. Thus, a flag may “live” for significantly less time, but it may also “live” for longer than 6-10 months. As practice shows, two different locations, perhaps only 5 km apart, can have completely different “lifespans”.
Damaged masts or hoisting devices or flags that cannot blow freely and hit trees, masts, bushes or walls can also damage a flag. It is also important to check flags regularly for any damage and, if there is any, to have it repaired immediately. This can also extend the lifespan of the flag.
To protect your flags, we also recommend taking them down in bad weather conditions.
Longer lifespan
For locations exposed to strong to extremely windy conditions, we also offer special fabric qualities, such as our flag fabrics Polystretch and the premium quality Polywind-plus .
Please note, however, that these flag materials are not a panacea and flags made from these materials do not last forever. Experience shows that, depending on the quality, you can expect a 20-30% longer lifespan, especially with Polywind-plus, even up to 100% longer - see durability diagram
premium quality Polywind-plus
The strongest flag material currently on the European market, ideal for windy locations , compared to flags in conventional, standard qualities available on the market, the service life of advertising flags made of Polywind-plus can be increased by up to 100% in continuous outdoor use - see durability diagram
Recommendation
We strongly recommend that you plan for the long term when producing advertising flags, ie if you decide on permanent flagging, you should have at least three times the number of flags produced, as the unit price is usually considerably cheaper (depending on the printing technology, format and number of colours) and flags can always be changed in sets and, above all, in good time, e.g. for possible repairs or washing, and the masts will then always be flagged.
